The Arcus ist the newest model within the Tomahawk Aviation scale soaring family. Calculated and constructed by a very experienced aerodynamic engineer. The model impresses by its extremely thin airfoil which guarantees a very dynamic flight envelope.

Highlights
Wing strak consists of 12 different airfoils with an average thickness of 8,6 % and a camber of less than 2%. That makes the Arcus a little bit faster during gliding and thermal flight but also acceleration at speedflight is much faster. The wings are produced in a complex carbon-fibre composite-sandwich shell construction. For a perfect surface finish the upper layer is a fine glassfibre. The model can be built with a six or eight flap wing. The parts for the mechanical connection of the outer aileron are included in the kit. The fuselage is made of glassfibre reinforced with carbon and the joint is painted. The vertical stabilizer has a fixed lower part which protects the rudder from being damaged during crosswind landings. Wings are connected with a massive carbon square wing joiner. All parts are painted with two component coating. ( underside of the wing is gray)
The Arcus will be delivered in a high degree of pre-fabrication. All flight surfaces are hinged as elastic flap with gap covering. Wing and elevator screw connection is already pre-fabricated and also all rudder horns are already installed. Simple wooden Servotrays and linkages are included within the kit. The cockpit consists of a cockpit tub and two instrument mountings. As an extra the cockpit ca be upgraded to a full sclae cockpit see accessories section. The canopy is already mounted and the lock pre installed. The Arcus is perfect for FES motor and can also be powered by an EDF.
